Amy Schumer believes that the 'perfect' one-night stand once helped fix her broken heart.
The candid comedian revealed that she had her first - and last - one-time sexual rendezvous when she discovered an ex-boyfriend was gay.
An excerpt from her forthcoming autobiography tells the story of a man called Sam - a 'beautiful, masculine fantasy man' - who helped give her a much 'needed a sexual boost of confidence.''I’ve only had one one-night stand in my life,' she wrote, in The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo. 'I’m sorry to disappoint anyone.'
A few months after her break-up, Amy discovered that her ex-boyfriend was gay and confesses now that it broke her heart and made her question herself.'I really needed a boost of sexual confidence during that time of my life,' she continued.
'This person who made me feel beautiful and sexy for so long was attracted to men. When you get older and wiser, you get your confidence from within, not from the person you are having sex with.'
