Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has stated that the travel by the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United States of America (USA), does not disprove the fact that she transferred the sum of $170,000 to Jefferson’s account.
Daily Post reported that, speaking via a twitter account, the Fayose’s Media Aide, Lere Ollayinka, challenged Mrs Buhari to unravel the mysterious Aisha Buhari claimed to be the one involved in the US scandal.
Speaking further, he said: “Has traveling to the US invalidated the judgment that said Aisha Buhari transferred $170,000 to Jefferson’s account?
“Has traveling to the US erased the fact that Aisha Buhari transferred $170,000 to Williams Jefferson?
“Their only defence is: it was another Aisha Buhari that was involved. But I have the Aisha Buhari on tape where she denied.
“If they are claiming that another Aisha Buhari was the one involved, shouldn’t they just unravel this mysterious Aisha Buhari?”
The Ekiti State Chief Executive had earlier alleged that Mrs. Buhari could not visit the US because of her involvement in the William Jefferson’s bribery scandal.
