Irish man shot dead in front of his children and wife in Majora over mistaken identity of a gangster

A father has been shot dead in front of his wife and children on the holiday island of Majorca with police probing the possibility it could have been a case of mistaken identity after he was confused for an Irish gangster.

The killer of the Irishman was said to have been overheard in a bar bragging about the crime he was about to pull off.

Police are said to have spoken to the key witness as they hunt the gunman and two suspected accomplices. See photos below.
