Riyad Mahrez has become the second Leicester City star to shun the attentions of Arsenal and sign a new contract with the Premier League champions.
The 25–year-old had been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners. However, like team-mate Jamie Vardy, Mahrez has decided to remain at the King Power Stadium and has signed a four-year contract until June 2020 worth £100,000-a-week.
The news represents a huge boost for manager Claudio Ranieri, who lost key midfielder N’Golo Kante to Chelsea for £32m earlier in the window.
