The Mercedes driver's reception in Chengdu showed he has a worldwide following as fans surrounded him as he arrived at the Chinese airport.
And the driver demonstrated his appreciation for the support by posting the video of his arrival on his Instagram story - showing Chinese fans mobbing the 32-year-old. More photos below.
