346 men admitted to hospital due to permanent erections duemail to drugs

A record number of men went to hospital this year with erections that wouldn't go down.

Some 346 suffered priaprism, a 51 per cent rise from last year, official figures show.

The condition where blood gets trapped in the penis is often brought on by drugs such as Vi*gra, c*caine, c*nnabis and c*ystal meth.

Doctors have to drain blood to prevent permanent damage to the p*nis.

Dr Geoff Hacket, former chief of the British Society of S*xual Medicine, told The Sun: 'The risk as a result of Vi*gra alone is almost non–existent.

'But as the drugs become cheaper, there is a chance people are more likely to exceed the recommended dose.'
