The confusing incident preceded an important report on the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma making the situation even more awkward.
Luckily for presenter, Tom Donkin the incident happened at 2 am in the morning, so there wouldn't have been too many people watching it in the UK.
Except, this was on BBC World so most of America could have been watching at 9 pm, their time. See tweets below.
