Worried fans are speculating that Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have split after spotting their silence on social media.

The normally active couple have refrained from posting any loved-up snaps together for several weeks - amid reports their romance is under strain following footballer Alex's £35million move to Liverpool FC this week.

The Little Mix singer, 24, has also been targeted by cruel trolls who branded her a 'f**king b***h' and claimed she 'persuaded' him to move to the city.

Despite normally flooding their accounts with smitten snaps of each other, the couple have been keeping unusually quiet on social media.

Perrie has not posted snaps with or of Alex for three weeks - similarly 24-year-old Alex has kept quiet on the Perrie front for the last two weeks.

Concerned fans questioned whether his move away from London was putting a strain on their relationship.

One said: 'Hope u and Alex are ok,' while another added: 'What did Alex and Perrie break up or something?'

The split rumours come as the couple were spotted looking downcast during a low-key dinner date earlier this week.

The Shout Out To My Ex hit maker and midfielder were pictured dining at Nandos in Liverpool on Thursday.
