Kim Kardashian's Paris $10Million robbery attack suspect apologise

The man behind the Kim Kardashian heist has sent her a personal apology, almost a year to the day since he masterminded a terrifying $10m robbery.

Aomar Ait Khedache, 60, admitted in January to holding the KUWTK reality star at gunpoint and robbing her jewellery and has now appealed to the mother-of-two for forgiveness, saying he has been moved by her tears, TMZ reports.

In the note, handwritten in French, the criminal mastermind acknowledges the psychological damage to Kim and her family, and hopes to relieve the trauma.

Knowingthat I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones.'

He added: 'I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault.'

The translated letter reportedly reads: 'I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears.'

Insiders tell the website that Kim has dismissed the apology as 'hollow' and believes it is a stunt to appear remorseful, ahead of the trial.

The note was sent just days before the first anniversary of the $10m robbery, which took place in Paris during Fashion Week in October 2016.

It was first issued to the judge and passed onto Kim's lawyers, who translated the words, the website claims.

Kim's world was turned upside down when five masked intruders - aged between 27 and 64 - stormed into her temporary Paris residence, tied her up and locked her in the bathroom as they robbed her of her jewels.

At around 3am on October 3, the robbers entered the building after the concierge let them in. Handcuffed and at gunpoint, he then led them to the star's flat.

Kim reportedly 'begged for her life' and told the gunmen she had children - North and Saint - at home when two of them entered her room and threatened to shoot her.

In Kim's statement, given the morning after and released by police in January 2017, the mother-of-two recalls how masked thugs grabbed her and took her out to the entry hall.

She said: 'I was in a bathrobe, naked underneath. We went back to the bedroom and they pushed me onto the bed.'

It is believed that two Cartier diamond bracelets, a Jacob necklace in gold with diamonds, earrings with diamonds by Loraine Schwarz, and others by Yanina were taken from her jewellery box.

There were also three gold necklaces by Jacob, little bracelets, jewels, rings, she said at the time.

A Loraine Schwarz necklace with diamonds and one further chain with six diamonds underneath was taken.

Finally, a diamond necklace with the name of her son Saint was stolen, along with a Jacob diamond cross and two rings in yellow gold, totaling a haul of $10m, or £8.5m.
