Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof's girlfriend Maja Nilsson blasts club over 'disgusting' price of must-have executive boxes costing £82,000

Manchester United Victor Lindelof's girlfriend  Maja Nilsson believes that the club are charging a 'disgusting' amount for use of Old Trafford's executive boxes.

Many players hire out the luxury suites for friends and family at a cost of between £23,940 and £81,600 per season.

Nilsson, who is the fiancee of £30.7million summer signing Victor Lindelof, has claimed there is a sense of obligation to rent a box, suggesting those without are seen as 'losers'.

Despite complaining about the price, Nilsson has described the boxes as 'wonderful'.

Swedish blogger Nilsson, speaking on her podcast called 'Life in the Stands', said: 'Players have the option to rent a box.

'I'm not even going to tell you for how much, but a disgusting amount.

'If you don't buy one you're considered a loser. But having a box is wonderful. You get your own waiter.'

Lindelof, who earns a six-figure weekly wage, made just his third appearance for United on Wednesday night.

The former Benfica star played the full 90 minutes as the Red Devils saw off Burton Albion 4-1 to book their place in round four of the Carabao Cup.

Marcus Rashford netted twice for United, before Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial joined him on the scoresheet.

Nilsson was at Old Trafford to watch the game in luxury.

She posted a photo of her surroundings to Instagram, along with the caption: 'Wouldn't mind using this as an office everyday'.

United will travel to Swansea City in the last 16.
