Evertonforward Wayne Rooney was left with blood pouring down his face after he appeared to be elbowed by Bournemouth's Simon Francis.
Rooney had to leave the pitch to receive medical treatment after the challenge, which came during the first half of the Cherries' visit to Goodison Park on Saturday.
As Rooney walked from the field accompanied by Blues medical staff, the left side of the forward's face was crimson as blood poured down from around his eye and on to his shirt. See photos after the cut.
