Patti, 56, while in the process divoice with husband from teenage age come come bisexual

She came out as bisexual after splitting from husband Doug Hutchison, who she married as a teenager.

And now Courtney Stodden, 23, is helping Patti Stanger make Million Dollar Matchmaker history by having the very first bisexual 'mingle' on the show.

Patti, 56, says in a Wednesday interview with SiriusXM's Conversations with Maria Menounos that Courtney 'knows now who she is' after the starlet picked a side.

'We've never had in the history of Millionaire Matchmaker and Million Dollar Matchmaker a bisexual mingle.

'So you are now going to see a bisexual mixer, so she doesn't know whether she's gay or straight and she picks one side versus the other. 

'I won't give that away. Yes, she knows now who she is!', Patti says, though she does confess during the interview Courtney picked 'the hottest guy at the mingle.'

She says she attempted to get Courtney's ex husband Doug on the show, but he would only appear if she paid him.

Patti said her experience setting Courtney up was difficult.

'She does everything right, and then she goes on the date. And you know, my fans know the date - you know the date, right? Everybody screws up on the date because I'm not there, I'm not police dog.

'And she gets naked, you'll see her naked on the show.'

'So I was mad at her, I was pissed off at the date,' Patti explains. 'I really reamed her silly on the post-date. And I like, let her go.'

And this is all genuine for you?' host Maria asks.

'Oh, I'm mad,' Patti agrees. 'I'm like, I didn't want to do it! I was like, forced to do it. So now I go do Dr. Phil and she's a completely different person... she's transformed. She's like, "I got a check book, I did try to do the driver's test, I failed twice."

'Dr. Phil's like, "Don't worry, keep doing it til you get it. You'll get it." And she doesn't go out, she used to party six nights a week and she gets seriously drunk.'

In a clip from the pair's Dr. Phil interview, Courtney admitted she had failed both the written and driving portion of the test.

She also spoke about her on-going divorce from Doug, 57, and agreed the split was for the best: 'I think ultimately it's a good thing.'

Though that hasn't made things any easier for her.

'Emotionally it's been rough, I have to say. I've been struggling with depression, after realizing that I can't be married to a 57-year-old now,' she said.

Patti says her goal was to teach Courtney how to 'properly date', rather than enter a relationship.

She says Courtney 'took her clothes off on the date and jumped into the pool and went crazy.'

Courtney's episode on Million Dollar Matchmaker airs on Friday.
