I came across this post of a pastor sharing his dreams becoming a successor of Christ Embassy

Here is what he wrote below and I decided to share among you guys. Read below.


NEWSFLASH: CANON CHINEMEREM UCHE TO SUCCEED PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

I once had a dream were I was invited by Christ's Embassy or Believers' Love World to take up the mantle of leadership after the retirement of Pastor Chris.  (Now before you think I am stirring a controversy, hold it! I am not!). I remembered this dream today as I was wondering in my heart how God turns IMPOSSIBLE situations around.  You know quite well that it is practically impossible for me to head Christ's Embassy Church.  As an Anglican, our brand and system of worship does not quite tally with Christ's Embassy, some Christ's Embassy faithfuls on seeing me coming to officiate at their service might get pissed off, especially those of them who left the Anglican Church to "cruise" in their new found "mega-modern" church.  The situation might get worsened when I for instance do not get sophisticated and idealistic like Father Chris. Hell will be let lose against me if I insist on wearing my cassock or chausible  to chant some prayers and psalms.  what I am saying this day beloved reader is that my dream of becoming the successor to Father Chris Oyakhilome can be likened to MALARIA INDUCED dream, dreamt by a man who took a lot of "Origin" to cure an invasion of plasmodium.

What if you were there with Joseph and he boasted he was going to become the Prime Minister or Deputy Pharaoh?  Personally, I would have concluded that Joesph was overtly possessed by a very tipsy spirit of fantasy. As at the time Joseph was still in Canaan, there was no relationship whatsoever between him and Egypt.  His mother was a distant Syrian and his father a Jew.  To the Egyptians, Jews were outcastes and very low class humans, whose contact with the Egyptians was seen as a defilement on the Egyptians. It was just a case of present impossible continuous dream in the whirl wind, carried by cosmic forces to a cosmetic island in the sea of Sahara Desert for Joseph to ever become and Egyptian Junior Civil Servant and not to dare talk of being deputy to the deified Pharaoh.

As Joseph progressed in life, he descended down the ladder more and more.  My people, how Joseph became what he became is indeed one of the most baffling histories on earth.  Those who sing, "THIS KIND GOD O, I NEVER SEE YOUR TYPE O!" or HE IS A MIRACLE WORKING GOD, He's THE ALPHA AND OMEGA..."  cannot even fathom God's ability so much.   Sometimes I wonder how God can do certain things as the world gets harder and more difficult and more complex!  Mary asked the same question when the Angel Gabriel told her she, a virgin, poor, unknown  was going to give birth to the Messiah:
"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"(Luke 1:34). The Angel replied her with an answer that could still not be grasped or explained: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35).

There are certain things God has told me over and over again would happen, but as each day dawns what I only see is the impossibility of it.  Sometimes when I enter the bathroom and I hear those things rehearsed again in my mind's ear, I shrug it off, sometimes I laugh at such futuristic fiasco and sometimes I rebuke and bind the voice.   I am not only writing this for myself.  I write for those who look at their future and are frustrated by circumstances around them.  I am writing for those who started the New Year with exuberant joy but are now in pains, disappointment  and total loss of hope. I am writing for that mother whose bright son has just been diagnosed of cancer and you are wondering if the voice you heard during his pregnancy was actually God speaking.  Maybe God had told you that the boy now diagnosed of cancer would be the one to dry your tears but now he has brought more painful tears!  "Was it God speaking or was I possessed?" This might be your question now.  Everywhere and everything seems dark and hopeless, "change and decay, in all, around you see."

I still believe in the Word of the Mighty God! and that same Word I bring to you in Jesus Name: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. What God has promised you shall come to pass!  Nothing can stop Him!  What He says He would do, that He would do!  Therefore arise, arise, you that is enveloped in darkness and deepest gloom, YOUR LIGHT, JESUS CHRIST HAS COME!
