Thibaut Courtois has dampened down fears that he faces a spell on the sidelines after being spotted with a horrific bloodshot eye.

The Chelsea goalkeeper was on the bench for Belgium during their 1-1 draw with Holland on Tuesday night after being replaced in the starting line-up by Simon Mignolet.

Courtois' bloodshot eye was revealed to the public when television cameras filmed him during the contest
