Any player in the elite company of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi can pleased with their work, and that is where Jamie Vardy finds himself.
The striker was selected in the top three players of 2016 by Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
Diego Simeone's stand-out forward included Vardy for his heroics during the course of Leicester City's astonishing Premier League triumph.
Griezmann told Goal.com as part of the Goal 50 awards his own selections for the highest three slots.
He said: 'Cristiano Ronaldo, as he’s won two titles, Lionel Messi because he’s unique and after that maybe Jamie Vardy for winning the English title with Leicester.'
When asked which player he would love to join him at Atletico, Griezmann offered two teammates from the France national side.
