Manchester United started the season well with four wins in the first four league games under the management of Jose Mourinho.
However, the Red Devils have failed to win in their last five league outings, only earned two points and are now six points behind joint league leaders Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Portuguese manager is frustrated and if reports in the media are anything to go by then the former Chelsea boss is going to dump no fewer than three stars from the current Man United squad.
The players in discussion are Morgan Schneiderlin (The Sun), Wayne Rooney (ESPN) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (The Sun).
Mourinho has an overcrowded midfield at his disposal and he has never preferred Schneiderlin. Hence, it will not come as any surprise if the French international departs.
Captain Wayne Rooney was mediocre last season and his performances have been worse this season. The England superstar deservedly finds himself on United’s bench more often than not and should be sold in the near future as well.
The most shocking news is the potential departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian playmaker was one of the best stars in the Bundesliga last season and only arrived at Old Trafford last summer.
As per the provided Sun link, the former Dortmund attacker has failed to impress Jose. In all fairness, he has only started one game under Mourinho, had injury concerns and deserves a fair chance. Not to forget we are talking about a player who scored 23 goals and provided 32 assists last season.
