Mauricio Pochettino has warned off the European vultures targeting Tottenham, telling them that signing his stars is impossible.
It was revealed on Thursday that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing Dele Alli, while Eric Dier has been watched by Bayern Munich.
But Tottenham have spent months securing their key men on long-term deals and on Friday Pochettino told would-be suitors to look elsewhere.
'They are players who are in our plans today, tomorrow and for the future,' said the manager. 'We're calm about rumours because all the players have long-term contracts. They all extended their contracts four or five months ago. I think rumours are only rumours. I have never seen one offer.'
Pochettino's 'new contract' pose — a beaming smile and one arm around the player — has become a dressing-room joke at White Hart Lane. But he has a different message for those hoping to lure away Tottenham's stars.
'All the players that are in our plans, you can see. They have had plenty of pictures with me — with the players we believe will play in the future,' Pochettino said. 'Not only in the present, but in the future. The rumours make no sense because it is impossible.'
Pochettino will look to add to his squad in next month's transfer window but accepts it will be difficult to improve on what he has.
