Liverpool players repeats 1960 memory flying to Plymouth

Liverpool's stars touched down in Exeter on Wednesday to playing Plymouth Argyle ‒ just as they did in 1960.

Jurgen Klopp's team travelled for their crucial FA Cup third-round replay against Plymouth but, 57 years ago, it was for a Second Division fixture.

Liverpool won 4-0 that day with Bill Shankly their boss and Roger Hunt scoring twice, and Klopp will hope it is a good omen that they likewise landed in Exeter.
