After SIX years of bitter divorce through text message from Katty Perry newly wed Russell Brand want to estabilise new riendship with ex

In December 2011, he shocked fans when he announced that he was divorcing pop superstar Katy Perry after just 14 months of marriage.

But now Russell Brand has revealed that he's open to establishing a friendly relationship with his ex-wife, as he has fond memories of their time together.

In a new interview with Grazia, the 42-year-old comedian said: 'I’m willing and open for reconciliation, any kind. Because if we can’t overcome our relatively trivial personal disputes in this world, what hope is there for us?'

Russell, who recently tied the knot with 30-year-old Scottish lifestyle blogger Laura Gallacher, added of his marriage to Katy: 'It was a very important and lovely time in my life. I don’t regret being married to Katy at all.

'I have very positive feelings about that whole experience and Katy is an extraordinary woman.'

A lasting reminder of his brief union with the Bon Appetit singer the tattoo he has on his arm of the words 'go with the flow' written in Sanskrit, which they both had done - and which he has no intentions of removing.

'Of course I’m going to keep it, 'Russell, who shares 10-month-old daughter Mabel with his wife Laura, insisted.

While Russell is currently a newlywed, Katy is enjoying an on again/off again romance with British actor Orlando Bloom.

Russell and Laura tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Remenham Church near their home in Henley-on-Thames last month.

Guests in attendance on the big day included Noel Gallagher, David Baddiel and Laura's presenter sister Kirsty Gallacher, 41.
